Six Strings and a Dream

the band

Six Strings and a Dream is a progressive country pop/rock band with soulful lyrics ranging from love and loss, to fun and empowerment.

Songwriter and founder John Stewart, who has been in the entertainment business since the early '80's, spearheaded this new band. Although the band is new to the scene the individuals are not.

John has accomplished many exciting things in his life including being a professional stuntman, a director of several films and the TV series Power Rangers. He has graced the stage with his guitar work with many big band names including but not limited to Big & Rich as well as wrote songs with Kristen McNamara from American Idol and Nashville fame.

John has also worked closely behind the scenes and in the studio with Jamie Browning (Guitar player with the Righteous Brothers), Guns & Roses keyboard player, Dizzy Reed, and Brad Stanfield (Producer) who toured with many big bands such as Crosby Stills & Nash. John's song, "Holding Onto Memories" was featured in the movie "Fall Guy" and airs on rotations of main stream radio.

He has a new "Country Band" which has named themselves Six Strings & A Dream.

Six Strings and a Dream's "Cowboy Love Songs" and "Cowgirl Anthem" are in the tv show The Road Route 66 coming out this year & several of their songs are currently playing on Midwest radio stations.
